What should your logo look like?
The logo is an essential element for any business. Whether it's a simple letter logo or a well-thought-out shape that characterizes the company. The important thing is to have it. I have worked with many clients and have known many different types of clients over the years.
Logo recognition is important
What they all have in common is that they all want their logos to be unique and original. The most important thing when choosing a logo is to be clearly recognisable. It doesn't have to be too tangled and masterfully interwoven with ornamental elements.
The important thing is that you recognize it from a thousand. Think of the logo of Google, Facebook or Coca-Cola. These acronyms are absolutely not overthought. Their excellence lies in their simplicity. The logo of WWF, Apple or even Adidas is very simple. Precisely so that it can be most easily identified.
The logo is your symbol
The logo is the symbol of your business, so the easier it is to fix, the easier it will be to make yourself recognized later by people. The idea that less is sometimes more is perfectly applicable here. From the very beginning, I made several versions for the client.
The problem with this is that if you get too many versions, you will not be able to decide in the confusion of abundance. So you're screwing with the client and yourself because he won't be able to make a choice, and he might even ask for a new version.
Just like in the ice cream parlour, when it comes to logos, if there is a large selection, the customer will not be able to make a choice. Be his pre-filter and only give him the versions you think are the best. Three to five versions at most.
